I have to say, that this impoverished college student look is not working for my office any longer. Upgrading my keyboard to give my hands some relief
I used to spend only about twenty percent of my work time typing and I can’t say that I’ve ever thought about getting an ergonomic keyboard until just recently. In the past couple months, my typing duties have drastically increased and consequently so has my hand fatigue. I’m not sure how long I hand keep going with this increased load, without having a keyboard that is easier on my hands than the stock model which came with my PC. I’ve looked at quite a few ergonomic keyboard styles on the internet and I’m torn between the models with softer keys using shorter strokes and the adjustable butterfly styles. Perhaps I’ll have to find some sort of a compromise model.

Years ago, I was in the antique furniture business. I dealt in everything from period furniture to 1950′s modern designer furniture. One of my favorite pieces was a close replica of the Charles Eames chair with ottoman. Setting the perfect angle and height of your computer monitor
I can never seem to get my computer monitor set at an angle that I find comfortable. I’m pretty sure I know what the real problem is though. I think it’s actually the height my monitor is at, rather than the angle which is causing viewing discomfort. Having realized this recently, I’ve begun looking into monitor arms to improve the ergonomics of my screen. I’m sure that once I get one of the sturdy wall mounted arms, I’ll be able to get my monitor just where I want it. In the mean time, I’ve boosted the height of my screen by putting a few books underneath it, but it’s only a halfway measure. There is no way I could settle for what I have now.

I have to say that one of the best additions I have ever made to my workspace is office screens. The amount of noise and distractions these screens block out is amazing. I had no idea how much efficiency I was losing due to my coworkers. I am thinking about changing out some of my current screens to glazed screens. Evolution of tables used in reception rooms
In Victorian days, most business and meeting room areas included what was known as a center table. This was a fairly high table ornately fashioned with a leather or marble inset. When a potential client came to call, on this table was placed printed matter and welcoming refreshments.
